Treason
That's generally true of theology, but the problem is, 1) theology has no place in government
Fact.
and 2) the particular theology that holds sway in Washington today has been proven false. Over and over. --ann
Not sure what this means... but Bush's theology of exclusion, aggression, and destruction... is not my cup of tea.
To begin with, they haven't read the Bible.
Some have, some haven't...but the Bible can be "interpreted" to "support" a multiplicity of "readings." Literary torture.
Yep, they claim it's inerrant, but they haven't read it. If they read it they would be aware that it contains a multitude of errors.
Those humans are so messy. It is ludicrous to claim that arbitrary writings cobbled together somehow inculcate perfection.
Or maybe they are just incapable of understanding what they read.
A likely story. Sometimes too likely.
So they claim Jesus said things not reported in the Bible.
The eleventh commandment. Bomb Iraq into submission while corporate giants capitalize on her resources.
They have also repeatedly said things would happen that didn't happen.
Jobs, health care, hugs and flowers receptions on the streets of Baghdad...
Didn't happen over and over.
Jobs, funding for education, support for social services, homeland security, etc...
Boring.
The consequences are not boring but tragic. We are a nation in decline with pirates at the helm. Thirty years from recovery.

I know George and his wife do not generally attend church, except just before elections. This is not to say they don't have "religious" beliefs, nor do I mean to denigrate the faith of those who do not attend services. ~OO~ But George is all talk.
When principles are on the line, Bush goes for the corporate bottom line, and the hell with ethics, morals, and such naive concepts as human dignity or compassion. This fatalistic ignorance is undermining our nation. We are not trusted, believed, confided in, or seen as an ally. The Bush "religion" of belligerent arrogance, rigid fundamentalism, and irresponsible neglect is unseemly, unconstitutional, embarrassing, and more often than not criminal. Impeachment seems prudent.
We need to put a man of substance in charge. Bush is a vapid opportunist whose congressionally enabled behavior is treason.
In two years we can remove the gutless wonders from both sides of the aisle who did not challenge this madness.
best regards, Tim
